For my Creating Multimedia Content class, we were asked to shoot 10-15 shots at an assigned location. My location was Numen Lumen Pavilion. Using Premiere, we were asked to create a 0:30 still video of our shots with a 0:05 title card in Photoshop.
For my Creating Multimedia Content class, I was asked to create a mash-up version of the poem “Kindness” by Naomi Shihab Nye. First I used a zoom recorder to properly record myself reciting the poem at least two times. Next, I used Premiere to edit together the poem, using the voice recordings of the other students in class. I could not use my own voice in my final project. The project needed to use at least one cut of music from FirstCom music, at least one piece of ambient background and one sound effect from Pro Sound Effects. I also had to adjust the audio levels in Premiere so that the voice was at a full level. Using Photoshop, I created a title slide for my project and I used a photograph that I took.

Kindness
Before you know what kindness really is
you must lose things,
feel the future dissolve in a moment
like salt in a weakened broth.
What you held in your hand,
what you counted and carefully saved,
all this must go so you know
how desolate the landscape can be
between the regions of kindness.
How you ride and ride
thinking the bus will never stop,
the passengers eating maize and chicken
will stare out the window forever.
Before you learn the tender gravity of kindness,
you must travel where the Indian in a white poncho
lies dead by the side of the road.
You must see how this could be you,
how he too was someone
who journeyed through the night with plans
and the simple breath that kept him alive.
Before you know kindness as the deepest thing inside,
you must know sorrow as the other deepest thing.
You must wake up with sorrow.
You must speak to it till your voice
catches the thread of all sorrows
and you see the size of the cloth.
Then it is only kindness that makes sense anymore,
only kindness that ties your shoes
and sends you out into the day to mail letters and purchase bread,
only kindness that raises its head
from the crowd of the world to say
it is I you have been looking for,
and then goes with you everywhere
like a shadow or a friend.
For my Creating Multimedia Class, I was asked to create two product labels. One label needed to be for a 20 oz soda bottle and the other could be for any product. Each label needed to be able to be printed on 8½ x 11 pieces of paper. The labels also needed to be created in the exact dimensions of the product, cover the appropriate parts of the product or box and have color.
For my Creating Multimedia Class, I was asked to create a cover for two different magazines. For each cover, I needed to use effective design principles, a title of a magazine and an efficient amount of text. Both covers contain a photo that I took myself.
For my Creating Multimedia Content class, I was asked to make three separate collages on Photoshop. Each collage needed to have 10 images around a common theme. My three themes were Disney princesses, Italy and the beach. Each collage also needed to have layer masks, contain text and have a background that was something other than an a solid color.
For my Creating Multimedia Content class, I was asked to take photographs of a public event. My event was College Coffee at Elon University. For this assignment, I was asked to take 10 photographs: one that is an overall wide shot of the event, two that show participants at the event, two that show details of the event and five other photographs. After taking the photographs, I edited them using Photoshop.

For my Creating Multimedia Content course, I was asked to photograph three personal objects and a place. My three objects are a coffee mug, a sunflower picture frame and a globe. For each object, I took three different photographs: one with a shallow depth of field (DOF), one that shows a detail or different angle of the object, and one that uses techniques we learned in class (chapter 4) to highlight either unity, emphasis or perception. For this assignment, I was also asked to photograph a place. The place I picked is Oak House, a coffee shop in Elon, North Carolina. For the location, I took seven different photographs: one that is a wide shot of the location, two medium shots, two detail shots, locations inside and outside the building, one with a shallow depth of field and one that shows a detail or different angle of the object. For each photograph, I adjusted the triangle of exposure: aperture, shutter speed and/or ISO. After taking the photographs, I edited them using Photoshop.
